001 ☆ Voice/Action for New Bark
[The whole world felt like a blur. A moment ago, she was fleeing for her life. Her two best friends had vanished in front of her eyes. Monsters were descending upon her. She was worried that she would be joining them in the darkness soon.
Suddenly, she's in a house. Some woman she's never met is claiming to be her mother. She hands her some weird device she's never seen before, as well as a backpack and a strange-looking ball, before shoving her outside.
It's raining.
She's barely had time to process all of this, but her body instinctively runs under a nearby tree for shelter. Would she be safe here, or is this a trap? This is a world unlike anything she's seen before. Her hand reaches for the device she was just given. Apparently it worked like some kind of radio. She contemplates, for a moment, if she should use it. She might be able to find her friends if she used it, but she might just help the heartless find her. She clicks it on.]
Donald? Goofy?
...
Sora?! Riku?! [They're not here, Kairi. You know that. Sora vanished. Riku was possessed by the darkness. Still, some part of her needed to call out their names.]
Is anybody out there? I need to find my friends!

[Well that's something to think about, isn't it.]
Are there more people who woke up here?
no subject
It's pretty annoying, really.
no subject
[She's starting to think this is bigger than being kidnapped by heartless.]
But who steals over a hundred people?
no subject
Weirdest of all, sometimes they send us back, too. No warning, no nothing, we just vanish and go back home. Exactly when we left. So whatever is doing it can control time, too.
no subject
[Whoever is doing this is seriously a jerk.]
no subject
[She's always assigned a bit more importance to them being here, though.]

no subject
[She won't bother adding that some people, like her, don't want to go back.]
no subject
[Still, this place sure beats Hollow Bastion.]
How often do people go home?
no subject
no subject
[Whether or not she wants to be one of those people, she isn't entirely sure yet.]
no subject
[She kind of wishes they liked the same people she likes, if that's the case.]
It's hard to say what makes them like people, though.
no subject
[Or weak hearts. Prime for controlling. All depends on how evil this place actually is.]
no subject
[She repeats it incredulously, but considers the idea for a moment before shaking her head.]
I doubt it. Some of the people I knew would still be here if that was it.
no subject
[Considering the whole reason you're talking to her is because she reminds you of her. Or should she not bring her back up?]
no subject
... Yes. Like her.
no subject
There must be some reason they get sent home, right? It can't just be random.
no subject
no subject
[No sense in worrying about it now.]
no subject
[She shrugs.]
But there's not much more I can say about that. What else would you like to talk about?
no subject
no subject
[Severe. Understatement.]
no subject
[To have someone you care about disappear out of your hands.]
no subject
[It's not exactly a hard guess.]
no subject
[She has a hard time saying more than that.]
